My children wonders why I bought songs which I can find in TV commercials. I told them that it is because these songs are so good that advertising companies cannot help "borrow" the songs.
I loved it. " The look of love" ,proformed by Dusty Springfield. Bert Bacharach is a song writers idol. he is best known during the mid to late 60's with songs like. So many hits on this one album.
There are lots of Bacharach favorites here featuring the original singers and recaordings. Oh, behave. Anyone who misses or never experienced the hipster side of the mid-60s should get a hold of this CD. All that's missing are the martini and the go-go girls dancing in the cages.
Wonderful CD,every song is good, most are very good, included are great artists he worked with over the years that add to the enjoyment of this music. I would recommend it to anyone who especially enjoys the music of the 60s and 70s.
My favorite selection is the simple and heart-breaking "Anyone Who Had A Heart" performed by the amazing Dionne Warwick. Often imitated, but never duplicated, Mr. I agree with another reviewer that a song by The Carpenters would have been nice on this collection.but no matter. Mr. Enjoy. Bacharach's work shines as much today as when it first came out.
These songs still stand as classics. What a wonderful collection from one of America's true originals. Burt Bacharach. No other song can communicate heartbreak and yearning like this gem.
